This park has large number of baobab trees dotting the Landscape of this 1003-square miles (2600-km) park make it one of the most scenic reserves in Africa – and one of the many favorites. Tarangire is the best park on the northern circuit to see lions in trees and large numbers of the elephant.
Tourist should not be missed to visit this Park, wildlife viewing is excellent, especially from June to February when many different animals concentrate near the only permanent water sources in the area – the Tarangire River and its tributaries. Its large population of elephants.
In addition to the migrating herbivores including elephant, buffalo, wildebeest and zebra, there are numerous resident animals that remain in the park all year round. Resident herbivores that you will likely encounter are banded mongoose, giraffe, bushbuck, rock hyrax, hartebeest, dik dik, impala, waterbuck, warthog and reedbuck.
